AMA Fees and Charges
Effective Date: January 1, 2024
Regular Hours: 07:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Regular Hourly Rates: Sampler/Weigher/Technician - $25.00 per hour
Travel Time Rates: All travel time will be assessed at applicable hourly rate.
Overtime Hourly Rate: One and one‑half-times the regular hourly rate for time exceeding the regular hours and Saturday, assessed in quarter hour increments.
Sunday and Holiday Rate: Double the regular hourly rate in addition to unit fees, in quarter‑hour increments.
Holidays include: New Year's Eve and Day; President’s Day, Good Friday; Memorial Day; Independence Day; Labor Day; Thanksgiving Day; and Christmas Eve and Day. If a holiday falls on a Saturday, EIGIS will observe it on Friday. If the holiday falls on a Sunday, EIGIS will observe it on Monday.
Commodity Cooperative Service Agreement Fees: In addition to all other applicable fees, commodity cooperative service agreement fees for commodity inspection services (pulses, hops, and miscellaneous processed commodities), excluding rice, will be assessed at the current percentage rate identified in FGIS Directive 9180.74 (Service Fees and Billing Codes, Attachment 4.) The assessed fees must exclude travel, mailing expenses, and state and local taxes. Invoices will identify assessed commodity cooperative service agreement fees as separate line items.
AMA Rice Cooperative Service Agreement Fees: In addition to all other applicable fees, AMA rice cooperative service agreement fees for rice inspection services will be assessed at the current percentage rate identified in FGIS Directive 9180.74 (Service Fees and Billing Codes, Attachment 3.) The assessed fees must exclude travel, mailing expenses, and state and local taxes. Invoices will identify assessed AMA rice cooperative service agreement fees as separate line items.
Mileage: The IRS standard mileage rate will be assessed per mile actual miles travel. Any change to the mileage rate is effective when the IRS changes their standard mileage rate. Mileage and travel time will be prorated where possible.
Minimum Fee: A four‑hour minimum at the applicable hourly rate will be assessed for service requests cancelled after personnel have departed office.
In addition to the following unit fees, sampler, travel, and or standby time will be assessed in quarter-hour increments, and mileage will be assessed for all services. Travel time will be assessed portal to portal. Samplers’ time will be assessed when requested to remain on site
